Description
The Lamb Inn is a 17th-century inn located on the south side of Urchfont The Green, formerly known as Back Lane. The building features a timber frame that is faced with brick and rendered at the front, topped with a thatched roof. It is a single-storey structure with a basement and attic, consisting of two bays. The entrance is located in a 20th-century timber porch on the west gable, with a second entrance to the left bay accessed by a flight of steps. There is also a loading door to the basement from the road. The windows are margin glazed casements, and there are two flush dormers. An external stack is present on the left gable, along with an added stack on the right front. To the left, there is a 19th-century two-storey extension, and a rear wing from the 19th century that has three bays and is also two storeys high. Inside, the building features chamfered parallel longitudinal and wall beams.
