Description
Green Acre is a house from the 18th century located on the north side of The Green, formerly known as Back Lane in Urchfont. The building is constructed of colourwashed stone, with brick facing and quoining, and features a thatched roof. It stands two storeys high and has two bays, with a rear service passage extension that continues under the roof. The original central door has been replaced by four-paned windows, while the ground floor has sixteen-paned sash windows. There is a stack on the left gable, and a single-storey extension to the right, along with a single-storey wing at the rear that contains the kitchen. The roof is half hipped to the right and has a single purlin roof. Internally, the walls to the through passage from the door have been removed.
