Description
No. 1 Patford Street is a house, now used as offices, dating from the early 19th century. The building features a rendered exterior with limestone ashlar dressings, coursed rubble sides, brick ridge and lateral stacks, and a pantile roof. It has a single-depth plan with a rear range that creates an L-shape. The house is two storeys tall with an attic and has a symmetrical front with a round-arched doorway, a panelled door, and a radial fanlight. It also has 6/6-pane sash windows and a single gabled dormer. The side range has two windows with uneven spacing, including 19th-century sashes with glazing bars and a lateral stack. Inside, the ground floor has been altered, and there is a 19th-century right-hand dogleg stair with stick balusters.
