Description

Bumble Bee Cottage is an early to mid-18th century cottage located on the west side of High Street in Burbage. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and features a thatched roof. The building is single storey with an attic and consists of three bays: a right bay with a lobby entry, a central bay, and a narrow service bay to the south. The cottage has a boarded door and features three and two-light paned windows, along with two flush dormers that have leaded glazing. The eaves are supported by projecting joists that extend around the dormers. There is some slight timber framing that remains on the south gable. A lean-to extension is present at the rear on the right side. The roof is hipped to the left and half hipped to the right.
