It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The north side features a large oval plaque with relief carvings of branches draped over it, along with drapery drops on each side. The corners of the tomb are accentuated with quarter-columns. It has a moulded base and cornice, with a fluted frieze that is set back over the angles. The south side includes two plaques and a paired husk drop in the centre. The north side bears an inscription dedicated to Charlotte Laing.
