Description

The Lea Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 0.5 metres south-east of the chancel of the Church of St John Baptist. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features panelled angle pilasters and two inscription panels shaped like shields on each side. The inscriptions are in incised Roman and italic lettering. It has a moulded base, a cornice, and a cyma recta moulded slab.
