Description
Langenhoe is a villa dating from around 1850. It is constructed of painted brick with painted stucco or stone dressings, and has a low-pitched slate roof with two chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and a three-window front. It is square in plan and prominently situated overlooking High Street.
The front elevation features a raised plinth, rusticated quoins, and a raised string course. The windows are set within architrave surrounds with sills resting on brackets. The upper floor has three four-pane sash windows. The ground floor has two twelve-pane sash windows flanking a front door, which is set within a raised beaded surround. A ground floor tented verandah is supported by eight thin cast-iron Gothic columns. The rear elevation has three cambered-head twelve-pane sash windows on the first floor.
