Description
Tennis Corner Farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century, is a farmhouse constructed of rubble stone with a concrete tiled roof and brick stacks. It features a through passage leading to the rear of the stack. The south front is two stories high and has four windows. To the right of the center, there is a 20th-century porch that includes a six-panelled inner door with a flat stone hood supported by brackets. To the right of the porch, there is a four-light cyma-mullioned casement with a hoodmould, and to the left, there are two four-light mullioned casements, each with hoodmoulds. On the first floor, there are three three-light and one two-light mullioned casements, along with traces of former eyebrow dormers and raised eaves. Attached to the left of the farmhouse is a two-story granary and stable, which has an entrance to the first floor accessed by wooden external stairs at the rear, along with planked doors. The rear of the main range includes a lean-to porch with a planked door on the left, a three-light casement, and a planked door on the right. The first floor has four three-light casements. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey in June 1986.
