Description
The Lane monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 5 metres north of the nave of the Church of St. John. It dates from the mid-19th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a plinth and has two plain panels on the main sides, with corner and central pilasters that have sunk panels. It has a moulded flat top. The monument commemorates John Lane, who died in 1840. At the time of the survey in February 1985, it was noted to be in poor structural condition.
