Description

The Lane Memorial, located approximately 10 meters south of the south porch of the Church of St Andrew, is a chest tomb dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar and features a moulded capping with scrolled end panels. The short sides of the tomb have a cartouche, while the long sides display a fielded inscription panel. This memorial commemorates Lane, who died in 1754.
