Description
The Talbot Inn is a mid-17th century inn that has been altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone and features a tiled roof with gable end brick stacks that have stepped capping. The building is two stories high and has four windows. On the ground floor, there is a six-panelled door and a canted bay with a four-pane sash window under a tiled roof to the right. To the left, there is a 20th-century door and a two-light casement window in a 20th-century porch, with two three-light casements on either side. The first floor has one three-light casement and three two-light casements. The left side of the building has a 20th-century door, while the right side is windowless. The rear of the building has 20th-century extensions and casements. Inside, the inn features deeply chamfered beams with run-out stops, and an open fireplace on the east side with a chamfered timber lintel that has rounded corners on stone jambs, along with chamfered joists that also have run-out stops.
