Description
Number 27 on Bridewell Street is a building dating from around 1820 to 1830. It has two storeys and cellars, constructed from Bath stone that sits on a projecting plinth with a rusticated ground floor. There is a band between the storeys, and the building features a moulded cornice and a blocking course with a painted centre.
On the first floor, there are two windows, one of which is blind. The windows are recessed, sash style, and four panes wide. The ground floor has a similar window and a recessed four-panel door, which is topped by a semi-circular fanlight with wreathed radiating glazing bars, all set in an arched recess beneath the blind window.
This building is part of a group with Nos 23 to 31, which are consecutive.
