Description

The Christ statue, located 5 yards south-east of Iford Manor, is a Grade II listed structure, possibly from the 13th century. It features a column made of freestone, standing approximately 12 feet high, topped with a decorative capital carved with foliage. The column supports a half-figure of Christ in the act of blessing. This statue is one of the many architectural and sculptural fragments collected by Peto from the Continent and placed in the house or garden of Iford Manor.
