EAST KENNETT VILLAGE CENTRE (east end) Estate Buildings, East Kennett Manor

GV II

Farm buildings forming stable yard. C19. Brick with slate roofs. Comprising on north side, barn of 3 bays, with wide central bay with midstrey to yard, having arched opening with perforated brick roundel in apex of gable. Attached on east side, a single storey range returning as ventilated drying house, terminating in stable block with stables and tallet over. Attached to west gable of barn, a further single storey range with return at west end against road containing stables, and adjoining stable yard gates and wall (q.v.). Brick wall enclosing yard, partly with stone foundations, mounting block pump and water trough on its west side. Barn has boarded timber doors both sides and 2 levels of ventilation slits. Stables have framed casement windows with flush blue brick arch over.
