Estate Buildings, East Kennett Manor

The estate buildings at East Kennett Manor date from the 19th century and form a stable yard. Constructed from brick with slate roofs, the complex includes a barn on the north side with three bays. The barn features a wide central bay that opens to the yard, with an arched opening and a perforated brick roundel at the apex of the gable. Attached to the east side is a single-storey range that serves as a ventilated drying house, leading to a stable block with stables and a loft above. On the west gable of the barn, there is another single-storey range that returns at the west end, containing stables and adjacent stable yard gates and wall. The yard is enclosed by a brick wall, which has stone foundations and includes a mounting block, pump, and water trough on the west side. The barn features boarded timber doors on both sides and two levels of ventilation slits, while the stables have framed casement windows topped with flush blue brick arches.
