Description
Old Thatch is a cottage dating from the 18th century, located in the centre of East Kennett village. It features a facade made of sarsen stone with a diaper brick design on a sarsen stone sill, topped by a thatched roof. The building stands two storeys high with an attic and consists of four bays. In the third bay, there is a half-glazed door that is sheltered by a thatched canopy. The cottage has 20th-century three-light paned windows with cambered arches above them. At the rear, the roof extends down over a narrow service passage, and there is a 20th-century double dormer along with two brick chimney stacks. The roof is hipped.
