Description

The Lavington monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard against the south-west corner of Christ Church in East Kennett. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a moulded table and a fluted base, along with thin fluted corner pilasters. The oval side panels are surrounded by a fluted field. The inscription commemorates Robert Cooper Lavington, who died in 1805, and his wife Ruth, who died in 1840.
