Description

No. 128 on Neston Lane is a pair of estate cottages that have been converted into one house. Originally built in the late 17th century, it was rebuilt in the late 19th century for the Neston Park estate. The structure is made of rubble stone and features a Welsh slate roof, with gable-end and axial stone stacks and coped verges.

The building is two stories high and has two windows. There are four-panelled doors on both the left and right sides, with two 2-light ovolo-mullioned casements in the center. A continuous string course runs above the doors. On the first floor, there are two 2-light mullioned casements, along with some blocked openings and a straight joint to the left of center. Lean-to sheds with planked doors are attached to the returns, and there are 20th-century attic casements in the gable ends. The rear of the building has a blocked 17th-century mullioned casement and two 2-light ovolo-mullioned casements, with a straight joint to the right of center. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in November 1986.
