No 64 (Gardener'S Cottage), With Attached Garden Walls

No 64, known as Gardener's Cottage, is a two-storey building from the 1830s, likely constructed for James Morrison. The cottage features a front made of limestone ashlar and a hipped Welsh slate roof with gable end brick stacks. It has three windows across the front, with a central half-glazed door framed by a moulded stone architrave and cornice, flanked by 9-pane sash windows. The first floor contains three 6-pane sash windows, and there is a corniced blocked course beneath a shallow pitched roof.

To the right of the cottage is a two-storey extension made of English garden wall bond brick, which includes casement windows and a slate roof. Attached to both sides of the cottage are garden walls, also of English garden wall bond brick, featuring stone coping and flues designed for heating the walls to support the growth of apricots and other plants. The rear of the cottage has a 6-pane sash window on the first floor, along with a planked door and a casement window in the brick extension.

Inside, the cottage retains 6-panelled doors set in moulded architraves, and there is a cupboard in the sitting room with egg and dart moulded panels and H-hinges, which are likely reset features from Fonthill Splendens.
