Description

The barn at Stop Farm is an 18th-century structure. It features a rubble stone plinth supporting timber-framed walls that are clad in weatherboard. The roof is made of asbestos corrugated material with half-hips. The barn consists of six bays and has double planked doors on the south side. The rear of the barn includes a hipped porch with double planked doors, while the left side has a planked door at the ground floor. Inside, the barn has a six-bay roof with straight bracing connecting the jowled main posts to the tie-beam, along with raking struts to the principals, some of which have been partly renewed.
