Description

5, Trowbridge Road is an 18th-century building of three storeys. It is constructed of ashlar and has a cornice and parapet, with a stone-tiled roof. A string course runs above the first floor. The building has three windows, mostly arranged in pairs. The second-floor windows are sash windows with original glazing bars. Ground-floor windows have metal hoods for blinds. The centrally located recessed door is set within an architrave surround and is sheltered by a porch featuring an entablature supported by two fluted columns and two fluted pilasters. The door itself is a six-panel design, with the top two panels glazed. A second six-panel door is located to the right. Nos 1 to 5 (the odd numbers) form a cohesive group.
