Description

Number 2 St Margaret's Place is a building that likely dates from the late 17th century. It has two storeys and is constructed of coursed rubble, with the original ashlar quoins hidden behind the adjoining houses. The roof is modern and covered with pantiles. On the first floor, there are two pairs of casement windows, while the ground floor features paired single lights flanking two modern doors. Inside, there is a large chamfered timber beam that runs through the ground-floor rooms. This building, along with Nos 34 St Margaret's Hill and all the listed buildings in St Margaret's Place, forms a group.
