Description
The garden wall and gatepiers opposite No 4 St Margaret's Place are possibly from the 18th century. The wall is curved and approximately 2 and a half feet high, constructed from coursed rubble with stone cappings. In the center of the wall, there are two ashlar gatepiers, each about 5 feet high. These gatepiers feature entablatures that support stone pyramids, with one pyramid retaining a stone ball at its apex. The nearby buildings, including No 34 St Margaret's Hill and all listed structures in St Margaret's Place, form a cohesive group.
