Description

Milestone located opposite the layby, west of Harrow Farm, dating from the late 18th century. It is made of painted sarsen stone and has a triangular section with a pitched top that transitions to a rectangular shape towards the ground. The inscriptions on the milestone are incised but are now obscured and overpainted with legends: on the left side, it indicates "To HUNGERFORD 4," in the center is "A4," and on the left side again, it states "To MARLBORO 5."
