Description
Knowle House is a mid 18th century house constructed of brick with a tiled roof. It has two storeys and attics, featuring five narrow window bays across three bays. The central entrance has a six-panel door set within a tall doorcase that includes a moulded cornice supported by modillion brackets. The windows are twelve-pane sashes with heavy glazing bars, gauged brick lintels, stone sills, and brick aprons. The central three bays are slightly set forward and feature a pediment, along with a stilted round arch window. The eaves are timber with dentils, and the roof is hipped, incorporating two gabled dormers on the side and two on the rear. At the back, there is a 19th century brick one-storey service wing with a tall stack. Inside, the front reception rooms are panelled and have contemporary fire surrounds.
