Description
Timbridge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century and early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and has a 20th-century tiled roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays, along with two rear wings, each containing one bay. The layout includes a central hall with flanking reception rooms. The entrance features a six-panel door with a bracketed canopy above it. The ground floor has Venetian windows with leaded lights, which are topped with gauged brick lintels that include a central arch. The farmhouse has a blue brick plinth and a flush band, with two-light leaded windows on the first floor and dentilled eaves. The gambrel roof is adorned with three gabled dormers. The left rear wing has been converted into a kitchen, while the right wing serves as a dairy and pantry, both featuring gambrel roofs. Inside, the right reception room, which was originally the kitchen, has a large fireplace with a timber fire lintel. The rear kitchen wing boasts deep chamfered ceiling beams from the 16th century, and the dairy includes a cream and cheese bench.
