Description
Voronzoff Gate is a house built in 1856, located in Little Bedwyn. It features red and blue patterned brickwork with stone dressings and a diamond slate roof. The building is two stories high and has two bays with a central hall. The central door is set within an open stone balustraded porch. The left bay projects and is gabled. On the ground floor, there is a canted stone bay with lights that are cusped at the top and have diamond leaded glazing. The other windows are two-light, also cusped and leaded. There are oval windows above the porch. The gables of both end bays are adorned with elaborate carved bargeboards. It has tall brick shafted stacks that are linked at their heads. The left elevation features two half dormers. This building was constructed in memory of Catherine Woronzow, the mother of the Marchioness of Ailesbury, who passed away in 1856.
