Description
Hazeldine is a house located on High Street in Repton, dating from the late 18th century and mid 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof and features brick gable stacks. The building has a dentil eaves cornice and stands two storeys high. The west elevation is symmetrical with three bays, featuring a central doorway that has a painted doorcase with pilasters and moulded brackets. The entrance includes a panelled door and a traceried fanlight, along with a 20th-century brick and timber porch. Above the door is a glazing-bar sash window set under a wedge brick lintel. On either side of the central bay, there are two-storey canted bays that have first-floor sill bands, glazing-bar sashes beneath continuous stone lintels, and hipped roofs covered with Welsh slate. Inside, the house retains the upper flight of a stick baluster staircase and two late 18th-century chimneypieces.
