Description
The mill at the angle of Mill Street, dating from the mid-19th century, is a three-storey building featuring seven windows. It is constructed of brick with brick flat arches, a stone plinth, and stone cill bands on the first and second floors. The building has raised verges with twice stepped stone coping and a saddlestone, topped with a slate roof. The windows are segmental headed and consist of glazing bar sashes, with the eastern gable having wider windows. There are doors located at the center and to the left side of the building. A long two-storey painted extension to the northeast is not included in the listing. This mill is part of an industrial group that includes Home Mill Buildings, Castle Factory, and The Chapel, which houses the offices of Samuel Salter and Co Ltd.
