Description

Hollybush Cottage is a Grade II listed building located in the Badminton Estate, likely built between 1748 and 1756 by Thomas Wright for the 4th Duke of Beaufort. The cottage features coursed rubble construction, rendered with stone sills, and has a stone slate roof with end stone stacks. It is two stories high and has a two-window south front. The left side of the ground floor has a canted bay window with leaded lattice glazing, while the right side has a similar flush window with the same glazing. The upper windows are located in the gables and are lattice glazed casements that sit just below the eaves line. There is a central lean-to porch with a stone slate roof and a plank door. Additionally, there are two gabled outshuts at the east and west ends of the cottage.
