Description
The Court is a farmhouse and attached cottage, now a house, dated 1862. It features rubble brought to courses with freestone dressings and slate roofs that have overhanging eaves. The main block, which is two storeys high, has a set-back north wing. The main block has three windows under gables, with the centre section recessed and a shallow porch under a flat hood. Most windows are glazing bar sashes. The right gable has a two-window bay on the ground floor, with a single window above and a datestone above that. The left gable has a pair of windows at ground floor level beneath a relieving arch, with a single window above that, which is below a stone bearing the name Beaufort. At the rear, there is a single gable. The attached cottage wing is one and a half storeys tall and has three windows, all glazing bar sashes. Next to the main block is a plain door, with a ground floor window and one in an eaves dormer above. There are two windows below and one above in a full-height gable. This building is part of a major Beaufort estate development in the picturesque tradition.
