Description
West End House is a large detached house dated 1719, featuring the initials I W M on a plaster roundel on the street gable end. It is constructed of random coursed rubble stone with a stone slate roof and stone gable end stacks. The house is designed in an L-plan and has two storeys plus an attic. The main range has two windows, while the gabled cross range to the front right has one similar window. All windows are 2-light wood mullion and transoms with timber lintels and leaded casements, except for a 4-pane sash window on the ground floor of the cross range. There are two blocked doorways, originally located centrally and in the right-hand corner, with the current entrance located at the rear. The rear features a lean-to and gabled dormer windows.
