Description

No. 47 on The Street is a small house at the end of a terrace, likely built in the mid-18th century. The front is faced with rubble stone and roughcast, featuring flush quoins. It has a clay tile roof with a stone stack at the right end and a ridge stack. The house is two storeys tall and includes a small rear wing. There are three windows, which are paired wooden leaded casements with a slightly projecting keystone and rendered voussoirs. The ground floor has wooden casements that have been replaced, likely from the 19th or early 20th century, also featuring a keystone. The central door consists of six fielded panels and is topped with a flat wooden hood supported by curved brackets.
