Description

A barn range with an attached L-plan stable and loft, dating from around 1800, is constructed of rubble stone with a stone slate roof and coped gables. The barn is large in scale and features two projecting cart-entries with hipped roofs on each side, along with flush quoins and three tiers of vent loops. A lean-to structure extends between the cart entries on the south side, and a further lean-to is situated at the west end. Inside the barn, there are eleven bays supported by double-purlin tie-beam-and-collar trusses. The east end incorporates an L-plan range with a hipped roof to the south. The L-plan section has two storeys and includes upper loading doors. It utilizes interrupted-tie-beam trusses.
