Description
Naish Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the early to mid 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a stone slate roof, although the front has partly been replaced with Bridgwater tiles. The building is two storeys high and the front range is divided into two sections. The right section has a hipped roof and a two-window arrangement, with a ridge stack. The upper windows are two-light, with the left window having raised bead-moulding and the right window being recessed and chamfered. On the ground floor, there is a three-light raised bead-moulded window to the left and a two-light recessed chamfered window with a hoodmould to the right. The left wing, which is set back, has two upper two-light windows, with the left window bead-moulded and the right window recessed and chamfered. There are also two recessed chamfered two-light windows on the ground floor and an oak plank door to the right within an oak frame. A 20th-century lean-to porch is located at the angle of the adjacent range. The farmhouse is said to have been owned by the Croker family for 200 years, starting in the late 17th century.
