LACOCK NAISH HILL ST 96 NW 3/124 Bowden Park Farmhouse 20.12.60 II

Farmhouse, c1800, stucco-fronted with ashlar dressings and ironstone rubble side walls. Stone slate hipped valley roof with large ashlar embattled axial stack. Two-storeys, square plan with eyecatcher 3-window embattled Gothick front. Ashlar plinth, band, cornice and battlements, 3 first floor Y-tracery sashes with intersecting glazing bars in ashlar Tudor-arched frames. Ground floor Y-tracery paired sashes with intersecting glazing bars in arched ashlar surrounds. Centre-door with intersecting tracery to overlight, now set in C20 imitation stone embattled porch with similar Tudor-arched door and overlight. South side wall is rendered with band and, to right, pair of beaded 2-light mullion windows to each floor. North side is ironstone rubble with similar beaded mullion windows. Lean-to rear. An unusually elaborate picturesque estate farmhouse.
