Description

This is a mid-19th century house, now offices, located on the south side of Market Place in Chippenham. The building is constructed of limestone ashlar with a hipped slate roof. It has a double-depth plan and presents a three-story, single-window façade. Architectural details include a cornice, blocking course, pilasters, a platband over the first floor, and a moulded string course above the ground floor. The second floor features a sash window with two panes; the first floor has a tripartite plate-glass sash window with a pediment supported by consoles. A 20th-century shop front occupies the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected.
