Description
Orchard Cottage is a detached cottage dating from around 1700. It is built of dressed limestone and features a thatched roof with coped verges and brick stacks at the gable ends. The cottage is single storey with an attic and has two windows. There is a 20th-century door located in a thatched porch that is attached to an outshut. To the right of the porch is a three-light steel casement window, while to the left is a two-light wooden casement window. The left attic features an eyebrow dormer with a three-light leaded casement window. At the rear, there are two-light casement windows and two eyebrow dormers. An attached single storey extension from the 20th century is located on the right side of the cottage. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in January 1986.
