Description
Park House is a detached cottage dating from around 1700. It is constructed of dressed limestone and features a thatched roof with brick stacks at the gable ends. The cottage is two stories high and has two windows. The central entrance consists of a planked door set within a chamfered stone surround, flanked by three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements on either side. There is a plat band with a moulded lower edge at the first floor, which has two three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements. The left side of the building has a two-light mullioned casement on the ground floor and another in the attic. At the rear, there is an integral outshut on the right half, with mullioned casements on the left. The interior was not accessible during the survey in January 1986. This cottage is a slightly altered example of the typical stone cottages found in the area.
