Description
Hillcroft is a detached house, dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone with a Welsh slate roof and a brick stack to the left. The house presents a gable end to the road. The south front has two storeys and two windows. A central planked door is set within a chamfered stone surround, with a three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement to the left and a two-light mullioned casement to the right. The first floor has a three-light and a two-light mullioned casement. To the left is a two-storey 20th-century extension, which is not of special interest. To the right is a boarded outhouse with a pantiled roof. The rear elevation has a single-light, a three-light, and a two-light mullioned casement to both the ground and first floors. The interior was inaccessible at the time of survey in January 1986.
