Description

The lychgate to the Church of St. John, built around 1897, features a timber structure resting on an ashlar base and has a broad overhanging plain tiled hipped roof. The side walls are made of ashlar, while the oak superstructure consists of four square corner piers, each adorned with curved braces on all faces that support the roof. The oak gates are designed with a moulded top rail. This structure is listed for its group value.
