Description

This is a mid-19th century terrace of three houses, now shops, located on High Street, Calne. The building is constructed from limestone rubble with a rendered front, a slate roof, and brick stacks. The two-storey facade has a 2:1:1 window arrangement. It features a cornice and blocking course. The right-hand doorways of numbers 15 and 16 have been altered with 20th-century shop fronts, along with a passage entrance to the right. Number 17 has a late 20th-century brick shop front, and the original door remains to the left. Raised window surrounds with cill blocks are present, and the windows contain 2/2-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for group value.
