Description
The Kings Arms Public House is a public house that likely dates from the 18th century, with extensions to the rear and remodeling that occurred in the mid-19th century. The building is rendered with brick rear sections, features ashlar and brick ridge stacks, and has a slate roof. It has a single-depth plan that includes two rear wings and a right-hand rear courtyard. The structure is single storey with an attic and cellar, and it has a three-by-two window arrangement. The front of the building is long, with a coped left-hand gable and a right-hand keyed segmental-arched carriage entrance. There is a central open Tuscan portico with steps leading up to it. The windows include paired outer horned plate-glass sashes, a single sash to the left of the entrance, and pilaster jambs for the hipped attic windows, which just break the eaves and contain 6/6-pane sashes. The ground floor has been altered, and the interior was not inspected.
