3/192 Semley Baptist Church

GV II

Baptist chapel. 1823 on stone tablet above entrance. Dressed limestone, Welsh slate roof. Gable end to road, entrance below gallery at east end. Gabled porch with round-arched doorway with keystone and imposts, cast-iron bootscraper and flanking buttresses, lancets to porch sides. Pair of round-arched windows with imposts and square pilasters to either side of porch. Plat band to gallery; two round-arched windows with round-arched panels over, imposts and pilasters, stone tablet with date over. Left return has C20 casements and planked door to left, two 2-light mullioned casements with roll-mouldings to ground floor, first floor has two 2-light round-arched windows and C20 two-light casement. Right return has two 2-light mullioned casements and 2- light casement to ground floor, two 2-light round-arched casements to first floor with C20 casement to right. Interior not accessible at time of survey (January 1986).
