Description

The buildings at 27 and 28 Maryport Street date from around 1800. They are constructed of painted stone, with a first-floor sill course, a moulded cornice, and a blocking course. There are three windows on each floor, the central window on the first floor being blind. The windows are sash windows with intact glazing bars; No. 28 has block sills.

The ground floor of No. 27 retains a frame from an early 19th century shop window, featuring a moulded sill and a blind case that replaces the cornice. A partly glazed door is located to the right, set within a moulded frame with a rectangular fanlight. No. 28 has a modern shop front.

Nos. 25 to 33 form a group.
