Description
Nos 29 and 30 Maryport Street is a late 18th century building that likely incorporates elements from an earlier structure. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of painted stone on a plinth. The façade features flanking Tuscan pilasters, a shallow frieze, and a moulded cornice. There are three windows on the upper floors, with the small second-floor windows having a blind centre window, slightly recessed sashes, intact glazing bars, and thin block sills. The early to mid-19th century windows are part of an earlier shop front. To the right, there is a window with three mullioned lights, flanked by panelled pilasters with carved caps on small pedestals. To the left, there is a plate glass window set in a wide panel. The central doorway is plain and recessed, topped with a blind rectangular fanlight. Nos 25 to 33 Maryport Street form a group with this building.
