Description

No 27 on High Street is an early 19th-century building featuring three storeys of painted brick. It has a moulded stone cornice and a blocking course. The second floor has two windows with recessed sashes that still have their glazing bars intact. The first floor windows were altered in the late 19th century, changing from two windows to one large three-light window, which has an eared frame, a frieze with a keystone and guttae, and a moulded cornice. The ground floor features a double shop front that dates from around 1900. Nos 25 to 31 (odd) are part of a group.
