Description
No. 75 on New Street is a late 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall with a basement, constructed from colourwashed brick and topped with a hipped old tile roof. The second floor features a single window with a flush architrave framed sash, complete with intact glazing bars. On the first floor, there is a canted bay with a central three-pane sash window flanked by two-pane sidelights, supported by dividing pilasters, and adorned with a plain frieze and a moulded cornice. At half-landing level, there is one window to the left and a basement window, both framed with flush architraves. The ground floor has a door to the right, which consists of four flush panels and a rectangular fanlight with marginal glazing. This door is set in a deep recess with panelled reveals, a moulded architrave, plain pilasters, a frieze, and a small moulded cornice.
