Description
There are two chest tombs located about 2 meters west of the Church of St Cosmas and St Damian in Sherrington. These monuments date from the early 19th century and are made of limestone. The larger tomb, situated to the east, features two beaded panels on its main sides, a moulded flat top, and an inscription commemorating John Trowbridge, who died in 1802. The smaller tomb to the west has two panels, reeded pilasters, a fluted frieze adorned with rosettes, and a moulded flat top, with an inscription for James Trowbridge, who died in the 1800s.
