Description
No 10 is a detached cottage located in Sherrington Village, dating from the early 18th century, with an early 19th-century addition to the right. The building is constructed of chalk block with brick dressings and features a thatched roof that has a hip to the left and a brick stack to the right. It is a single-storey structure with an attic and has three windows. The entrance consists of a segmental-headed six-panelled door, while the right-hand bay has a segmental-headed three-light casement. The left side features a planked door and two two-light casements. There are three eyebrow dormers, each with two-light casements. Attached to the left side is a cob outhouse that is covered by the thatched roof. An early 19th-century outshut has been added to the rear. The interior is reported to have chamfered beams.
