Description

Rose Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on the northwest side of Idmiston High Street in Porton. It is constructed from brick and flint, featuring brick lacing and dressings, and has a thatched roof. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of two bays, with a central entrance that is sheltered by a thatched open porch. The entrance includes a boarded door with glazed panels. The windows are timber paned casements. At the rear, there is a lean-to service passage that is covered by an extension of the roof. A gable stack is positioned on the right gable. There are 20th-century extensions to both the rear and the gable.
